The Martin HD 28 Dreadnought acoustic comes with a Sitka spruce top, solid rosewood body design and a mahogany neck. It has many of the features of the classic Herringbone model such as the zigzag back strip, and scalloped cross bracing that gives the guitar a much louder and farther reaching sound that doesn’t lose its clarity.
Many people who don’t know the prestigious reputation that comes with the original model will still be enthralled by the sound that comes with the new model. The Dreadnought acoustic model is crafted in a manner that produces a larger sound than any of the other guitars in the Martin line. It works great for nearly any purpose you need it to perform by. The highs, mid and low level notes played are all accordingly enhanced through the body of the guitar producing a solid and natural sound that is especially clear.

HD28-One Powerful Acoustic!!
The HD28 is the real deal! The HD28 is another product of Martin’s commitment to high quality instruments. Everything on this guitar is perfect IMO.I love the fact that the HD28 is not overdone with alot appointments as they say. The overall finish and craftsmanship is second to none! The Beautiful tonewoods used are a perfect blend for the sound this monster gives out. She can be loud. I play fingerstyle and pick and My 2010 HD sounds great now either way, but I can’t wait til she get’s broke in a few years, I can only imagine how it will sound then! The low profile neck and sweet ebony fingerboard make playing this guitar a breeze. So, If you are shopping for your next high quality acoustic, let yourself at least try the HD28. You’ll be amazed!
